The American Heart Association, in collaboration with national organizations dedicated to women’s health, have released new life-saving guidelines for the prevention of heart disease. In addition, Jan Turner, Registered Dietitian, Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation, will present on heart healthy eating including chocolate, grapes and spices. New TAVR heart valve doesn't require open heart surgery

Doctors at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center were the first in Arizona to perform a recently approved noninvasive heart valve replacement procedure called Sapien transcatheter aortic valve replacement, or TAVR. The valve is inserted via a catheter through the femoral artery, without requiring open heart surgery.
