The Program
Weight Matters in Women's Health is the first annual conference at Scottsdale Healthcare offered for health care professionals interested in women's health.
The goal of this conference is to provide a comprehensive update on the impact of obesity on women's health. Evidence-based presentations and interactive break-out sessions provide ample opportunity to work with experts in the field of women's health.
Conference Objectives
At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to:
- discuss impact of obesity on women and their families
- Explain the epidemic of childhood obesity
- discuss the impact of obesity on fertility
- provide surgical management options for weight loss and subsequent childbearing consequences
- discuss associated medical consequences including metabolic syndrome and cancer associated with obesity
