Dr Mitchell is the Medical Director of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center Dr. Frank “Tres” Mitchell has a long history in the trauma community and is highly visible at the national level. Dr. Mitchell graduated with a BA from the University of Missouri and earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans.

The Trauma Center is dedicated to the development of EMS providers and its hospital staff, including nursing staff, ancillary staff, physician extenders and physician staff. Many clinical rotations provide learning opportunities for students including but not limited to nursing students, medical students and EMT/paramedic students. The Trauma Center also has an integrated surgical residency program with Maricopa County Medical Center.
