Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Specialist 

Dr. Kozinn specializes in Minimally-Invasive Joint Replacement at Scottsdale Joint Center. This technique uses the same implants as traditional joint replacement surgery while allowing Dr. Kozinn to avoid disturbing as much muscle and tendon tissue. Patients often benefit by having smaller, less noticeable scars and reduced recovery time. 

Dr. Kozinn also has a special interest in arthroscopic treatments for hip, knee and shoulder problems. These minimally invasive treatments can result in rapid return to work and athletic activities. 

Dr. Kozinn is Medical Director for the Scottsdale Center for Joint Replacement and chief of the Department of Surgery at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles(U.C.L.A) in 1982. Dr. Kozinn completed his internship in general surgery at the New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell College, New York. He also underwent additional fellowship training in Total Joint Replacement Surgery at Harvard Medical School. 

Joseph Longo, MDJoseph Longo III, M.D.
Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Specialist 

Joseph Longo III, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction surgery including joint replacements, arthroscopy, arthritis care and major joint repair. 

Dr. Longo has been active in clinical research involving implant design and surgical implantation techniques for trauma and adult reconstruction. He has served on the editorial board for the Journal of Arthroplasty as well as advisory boards for orthopedic implant companies. Currently, he develops and teaches nationally on minimally invasive techniques, instrumentation and ceramic-ceramic bearings for total joint replacement surgery. 

Dr. Longo received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Arizona, then completed an orthopedic fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, and a research fellowship in arthritis and joint replacement at the Harrington Arthritis Research Center prior to completing his orthopedic surgery residency in Phoenix. He remains an active member of the teaching staff for the Phoenix Orthopedic Residency Training Program. 

Fox, MDJonathan Fox, M.D.
Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Specialist 

President and Medical Director of Desert Orthopedic Specialists in Tempe, Dr. Fox specializes in surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder and ankle. He has been regularly board certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons since 1987. 

He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical School in Omaha and served his internship (general surgery) and residencies (orthopedic surgery) at Maricopa Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Arizona Children’s Hospital and the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, all in Phoenix. 

He completed an AO International Orthopedic Adult Reconstructive and Trauma Surgery Fellowship at the University of Munich, Germany.
