Todd Doerr, MDTodd Doerr , M.D.

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Doerr specializes in minimally invasive spine and orthopedic techniques to get his patients back to a healthy, active lifestyle. He believes in patient-centered care, and provides his patients with as much relevant and understandable information as possible. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completing his residency at Wayne State University, Dr. Doerr went on to complete a dual fellowship in spinal surgery and sports medicine. Currently, he is the Chief of Surgery at Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital.


Edward Dohring, MDEdward Dohring , M.D.

Dr. Dohring is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He graduated with honors from Dartmouth College and Yale Medical School. He is a nationally recognized leader in minimally invasive spine surgery and a pioneer in the development of this innovative technique. Offering special expertise in the surgical and non-surgical care of spinal disorders, Dr. Dohring cares for the complete spectrum of spinal conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, including scoliosis, traumatic injuries and spinal tumors. In addition to patient care, he also is focused on teaching, research and consulting for international spine companies, helping to invent and develop numerous minimally invasive surgical devices for medical companies worldwide. Dr. Dohring is an acclaimed instructor and educator, training other spine surgeons both nationally and internationally.

Justin Field, MDJustin Field, M.D.

Dr. Justin Field is a Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. He has specialized training in minimally invasive spine surgery and motion sparing technologies, such as cervical and lumbar Artificial Disc Replacement, as well as non-fusion stabilization. In addition, he has extensive training in adult deformity correction and treatment. Dr. Field is a recipient of The Patient’s Choice Compassionate Doctor Award. He is involved in many clinical trials on the latest minimally invasive spine techniques.

Dr. Field graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a major in Philosophy and minor in Chemistry, followed by a Master’s of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. He then earned his Medical Degree at Tulane University, where he finished in the top 1% of his class. Dr. Field completed both his surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University. He then completed a spine surgery fellowship at The Spine Institute in Santa Monica. Dr. Field is committed to innovative non-surgical and surgical lifelong care for his patients.

Paul Gause, MDPaul Gause, M.D.

Dr. Gause is a board-certified and a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon with the Spine Institute of Arizona, the only comprehensive, multidisciplinary spine care center in the Valley. Providing both surgical and non-surgical care for all disorders of the spine, Dr. Gause is an expert in minimally invasive surgery and spinal deformity and uses a broad spectrum of techniques to return his patients to an active lifestyle. After attending Brophy Prep and the University of Arizona, Dr. Gause earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh and a spine surgery fellowship at Case Western Reserve University. He has authored numerous scientific articles and is a nationally recognized spine instructor for medical students, fellows and other surgeons.

Duane Pitt, MDDuane Pitt, M.D.

A fellowship-trained orthopedic spine sur¬geon, Dr. Pitt specializes in disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine in ado¬lescents and adults. His focus is on both non-operative and operative treatments of spinal disorders, including degenerative, scoliosis, infections, stenosis and tumor. He also is trained in minimally invasive spinal surgery for both decompression and fusions, and utilizes traditional and state-of-the-art surgical techniques, such as artificial disc replacement. Conserva¬tive management is the initial focus of Dr. Pitt’s practice and patient care, which in¬cludes trunk stabilization physical therapy, various medications, activity modification and therapeutic injections. President of Desert Institute for Spine Disorders, PC, and President of the International Surgical Foundation, providing surgical service to the poor in the West Indies. Dr. Pitt also serves in the U.S. Air Force National Guard as an aerospace medicine fight surgeon. In 2010 and 2012 he was named a “Top Doc” by PHOENIX magazine.

Mark Wang, MDMark Wang, M.D.

A board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Wang offers comprehensive treatment of disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He specializes in operative and non-operative spine care treatments, and is dedicated to working with patients to identify the source of their pain and to find the least invasive treatment. His interest in medicine began during undergraduate studies at Stanford University. After graduating from UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Wang completed orthopedic training at the Stanford University Hospital & Clinics, which cultivated an interest in the complexities of the spine. This propelled him to pursue a spine surgery fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, where he trained in all aspects of spinal surgery, including degenerative conditions and scoliosis, as well as cutting-edge techniques such as motion preservation and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr. Christopher Yeung is a Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. He is the Team Spine Surgeon and Consultant for the Diamondbacks, Rattlers, Dodgers, Reds, Rockies, Angels, Royals, and Mariners. He chooses the least invasive yet most effective method to restore his patient’s active lifestyle. Dr. Yeung treats the full spectrum of degenerative and traumatic spinal conditions, and he has been the principal investigator in many FDA studies for artificial disc replacement and fusion alternatives.

Dr. Yeung graduated from the University of California San Diego magna cum laude. He earned his medical degree at the University of Southern California, graduating in the top 5% of his class. Then he completed his orthopedic residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at the USC Center for Orthopedic Spine Surgery. Dr. Yeung speaks nationally and internationally on the latest, most innovative treatment options in minimally invasive spine surgery and has published numerous articles.
