Our Neurological Research Program
At Scottsdale Healthcare, we conduct innovative neurological research with the goal of providing a better tomorrow for our patients. Our neurological research team of specialized physicians and nurses is dedicated to forging new frontiers in neurology, and is equally committed to providing personalized healthcare to patients and their families. We do this through a variety of services that provide caring treatment, encouragement and knowledge, all at one location.
Reflecting the needs of our community, our clinical studies and neurological research brings to the community the following benefits:
- Advancements in procedures, drugs and devices
- Enhanced quality of patient care
- Recruitment of highly sought after physicians
Experts from our research team work very closely with our Level 1 Trauma team to provide patients with the best medicine has to offer. Level 1 trauma is the highest ranking a trauma center can receive, and means that patients who suffer a serious injury have immediate access to surgeons, specialty nurses, medical staff, tests and operating rooms.
The trauma team is accredited by the American College of Surgeons, and is located in the 337-bed acute care hospital at the Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center.
We are proud that our hospital has received Magnet recognition, considered the gold standard of nursing practice, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This designation makes us a destination site for patients with traumatic brain injuries.
Clinical research is conducted according to federal regulations administered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP). References can be found at the FDA Science and Research website.
