Cardiac Imaging Radiologists
Michael B. Gotway, M.D.
A cardiopulmonary radiologist in a leadership position at Scottsdale Medical Imaging Ltd since 2005, Dr. Gotway has an active interest in thoracic imaging.
Before moving his career to Scottsdale, he was acting chief of radiology at San Francisco General Hospital and vice-chair of radiology in the department of radiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Gotway completed his medical degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed his diagnostic radiology residency and his thoracic imaging fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He was a member of the radiology faculty at UCSF as well as a member of the cardiopulmonary imaging section. In 1999 he was awarded the outstanding teaching award from the Department of Medicine, division of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
Today, he also is on the clinical faculty at the University of Arizona Medical School in Phoenix and continues contributing to medical literature and speaking and educating various groups.
Dr. Sunil K. Ram, MD
A cardiac radiologist at Scottsdale Medical Imaging, Ltd., Dr. Ram completed his medical education at New York Medical College. He joined the internal medicine internship program at the University of Virginia and later completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Tulane University in New Orleans.
Fellowships followed in cardiac CT/MR imaging and diagnostic neuroradiology at the University of Florida. While on staff at the University of Florida, he developed the school’s cardiac imaging visiting fellowship for visiting physicians to learn about cardiac CT imaging.
Today, Dr. Ram continues to serve as faculty at cardiac imaging teaching programs around the country and frequently lectures at radiology and cardiology conferences.
Dr. Ram has staff privileges at all three Scottsdale Healthcare hospitals.
