2013 Community Health Services Report

Scottsdale Healthcare provided $112.4 million in community benefit in fiscal year 2013.

Charity care represents the cost of services provided to patients who qualify under Scottsdale Healthcare’s charity care policy.

Community outreach programs include the cost to provide health education, screenings, community health assessment surveys, mobile services and other programs.

Unpaid cost of public programs includes the unpaid cost of services to public programs enrollees, Medicare and AHCCCS (Arizona’s version of Medicaid).
