Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation’s most coveted award – the Doctor of Philanthropy Award – is given to an individual or individuals whose significant impact on Scottsdale Healthcare has created a lasting legacy. In accepting a doctor’s coat and stethoscope as symbols of the Doctor of Philanthropy Award, honorees join a distinguished group of previous recipients who exemplify the ultimate expression of philanthropy to Scottsdale Healthcare.

Established in 1993, the Doctor of Philanthropy Award has also honored Virginia G. Piper, Nancy La Pierre, Sissie and Alec Gentleman, Heather and Michael Greenbaum, the Del E. Webb Foundation, Tom McGinnis, Lorraine and Charles Cattaneo, Sandy and Lou Werner, Diane and Bruce Halle, Donna and Tom Brady, Ruth and Hartley Barker, and Debi and Jerry Bisgrove.
