Medical Student Rotations
General Description
- Fourth Year Medical Students from a US Medical School, a LCME accredited
school (or equivalent)
- 4 weeks in length
- Weekly supervisory meetings with one of our core faculty members
- Offered year-round based on availability
- No stipend is offered
- A written evaluation is compiled and discussed with the student at the end of the
rotation
Rotations OfferedFamily Medicine
Inpatient Subinternship
- Busy inpatient service encompassing medical, surgical, OB/GYN, ICU/CCU, and
newborn nursery patients
- Daily teaching rounds with residents, attending physicians, and pharmacists
- Required didactic conferences
- Optional outpatient experience up to three half days/week
- Call approximately 1:7
Family Medicine Outpatient
- Busy full-spectrum patient care in the residency program's Heuser Family Medicine
Center
- Procedure opportunities in treadmill testing, dermatologic techniques,
colposcopy, etc.(see the Procedure Opportunities section on our Curriculum page
for a full list)
- Required didactic conferences
- Optional experiences:home visits, nursing home rounds, hospital rounds, and observation and recording of patient encounters.
- No call required

Your application will be reviewed by the Clerkship Director and you will then be
notified of its acceptance or denial based upon availability.
