Philanthropic Support
More than 200 donors, VIPs and invited guests attended the ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak hospital.
A $1 million gift commitment from Scottsdale Healthcare’s Auxiliary was announced during the groundbreaking, marking the start of a $14 million fundraising effort by the Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Scottsdale Healthcare.
More than $2 million in total gift commitments were already made toward Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak at the time of the groundbreaking, said Foundation President John Ferree.
“The Auxiliary has supported Scottsdale Healthcare since before our first hospital opened in 1962. We are very excited to receive this commitment toward making Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak an exceptional patient care experience,” said Ferree.
