Campus Facts
The 26-acre Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak medical campus currently includes the 64-bed hospital which opened in November 2007, and three medical office buildings.
Thompson Peak Medical Plaza center opened in 1999 and was followed by a second Medical Plaza in 2000. Grayhawk Medical Plaza was completed in 2007. Additional medical office buildings are planned adjacent to the hospital.
As the need for additional inpatient beds arises, the hospital has the ability to expand to 184 beds.
Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak is Scottsdale Healthcare’s third hospital, joining Scottsdale Healthcare Shea which opened in 1984, and Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, which opened in 1962.
The Grayhawk community master plan was designed to include a hospital-based medical campus, commercial offices, retail and residential uses. The City of Scottsdale granted a hospital use permit for the Thompson Peak site in 1995.
