Heart Health Evaluations | January 31 | 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.,To educate women and men 20 years or older on heart disease. The evaluation will help patients understand the risk of heart disease and which steps to take to protect your health. Patients will get their fasting lipid profile, glucose, and blood pressure checked. Also, measure waist circumference and calculate body mass index. Patients will be referred to cardiologists on staff if someone is high risk. Patients must be fasting 10 hours prior appointment time. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call (480) 882-4636 to cancel or reschedule. Appointments are required and fees are due at time of registration. The screening will be held at the Women's Diagnostic Center at Shea Medical Center. The center is located in the main hospital building on the ground floor. The south/valet parking entrance is the closest entrance to the center.

Get Your Gown Own, a health education campaign from the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center at Scottsdale Healthcare, aims to raise awareness about the need for annual prostate cancer screenings and the success of early detection and treatment of the disease.

New heart valve replacement procedure performed at Scottsdale Healthcare

Doctors at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center were the first in Arizona to perform a recently approved noninvasive heart valve replacement procedure called Sapien transcatheter aortic valve replacement, or TAVR. The valve is inserted via a catheter through the femoral artery, without requiring open heart surgery.
