Infusion & Treatment Services

Your appointment at Infusion & Treatment Services will be scheduled through your physician’s office and will be performed on an outpatient basis.

Infusion & Treatment Services is located next to the Emergency Department on the first floor of Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn. Parking is available in the Patient/Visitor parking garage on 4th street. Enter on the northeast side of the main hospital.

Infusion Therapies include:
  • Transfusions
  • Antibiotic Therapies
  • Hydration

    Infusion (IV) therapies can last from one to six hours, depending on the type of therapy your physician ordered.

    There is no need to fast for IV therapy. Continue your medications at home and bring those you will need for the day. This includes diabetic testing supplies and insulin.

    Other Therapies

    Lab draws from ports (check with your physician regarding need for fasting) Dressing changes and general wound care Urinary catheter insertions Injections

    Radiology Procedures will be scheduled through your physician’s office. Preparation, recovery and discharge will take place in this unit. Transportation arrangements need to be made prior to your procedure. Some require fasting for eight hours prior to the procedure. Please check with your physician.

    Certain medications interfere with dyes used in myelograms. Patients taking phenolthiazines, antipsychotics, antidepressants, CNS stimulants, MAO inhibitors, anticholinergics, antihistamines, blood thinners, should stop taking 48 hours prior to the procedure. Contact your physician with any questions.

    6 a.m.- 8:30 p.m.

    Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays
    (limited services available)
    6 a.m. – 4p.m.

    Insurance coverage varies and will be determined on an individual basis. A financial counselor is available to help evaluate your needs.

    You will receive discharge instructions after your visit to Infusion & Treatment Services.
