Alan B. Kelly, Esq.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Alan B. Kelly joined Scottsdale Healthcare (SHC) in 2004, as General Counsel, Vice President in 2005 and became a Senior Vice President & General Counsel in 2007. His responsibilities encompass Legal, Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, Governmental Relations, Community Stewardship and Scottsdale Captive Insurance Company. He previously served for 14 years as Corporate Counsel for Virtua Health Systems in New Jersey and came to SHC from Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA) where he was University Counsel for 9 years. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics from the University of South Carolina, Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Juris Doctor Degree from St. Louis University and finally, a Masters of Law in Trial Advocacy from Temple University. Mr. Kelly specializes in all areas of healthcare law including transactions, real estate, acquisitions, bond financing. Some of his professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Bar Associate and National Health Lawyers Association. Mr. Kelly is a member of the Arizona, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia Bars and to all Federal Courts within those jurisdictions.
Jan Elezian, MS, RHIA, CHC
Director, Corporate Compliance
Jan Elezian joined the Compliance Office in 2005 having previously served as the Coding Compliance Manager for Scottsdale Healthcare since 1997. Jan’s responsibilities include system regulatory guidance in areas that include EMTALA, Conflict of Interest Management, False Claims Act, Stark, and Anti-Kickback statutes. Jan is credentialed in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). Jan holds a Masters Degree in Business Leadership from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University. Jan’s background includes Health Information and Coding Management positions in Illinois. Some of her professional affiliations are the American Healthcare Information Association (AHIMA), the Arizona Health Information Association (AzHIMA) and the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
Jonathan Wallach, JD, CHPS

Jonathan joined Scottsdale Healthcare in 2011. Jonathan has 10 years of experience with HIPAA privacy and data security. Prior to Scottsdale Healthcare, Jonathan worked at Catholic Healthcare West, Source Healthcare Analytics, a division of Wolters Kluwer Health, the Athens Regional Health Services in Athens, GA, and the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Jonathan completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University and received his JD from the University of Denver. Jonathan is certified through AHIMA in healthcare privacy and security (CHPS).
Lindsey Goswick, RN, BSN

Lindsey joined the Risk Management and Compliance Department in 2011 having previously served as a nursing supervisor for the Telemetry/DCU since 2006. Lindsey currently functions as the Risk Manager for the Thompson Peak Campus. In addition to her Risk Manager duties at TPK, Lindsey provides Risk Management support at the Shea campus for Main OR (including Preop and PACU), Piper OR (including Preop and PACU), Radiology and Respiratory. Lindsey also functions as a Compliance Analyst for the system. Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Arizona State University. She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, Arizona Society for Healthcare Risk Management, and Healthcare Compliance Association.
Janet Hunsaker joined Scottsdale Healthcare in June 2009. She serves as the Administrative Specialist for Corporate Compliance, Government Relations and Scottsdale Captive Insurance Company. Janet’s background includes 36 years of service at Motorola, Inc., as a Sr. Project Manager.
