Scottsdale Healthcare Childcare Center
Located on Shea Medical Center Campus, the center serves staff members' children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Dedicated to providing a caring environment an an outstanding learning curriculum, the center is operated by Children's Choice Learning Centers. Adoption Assistance
Thinking of adopting? Through Choice 4 Care, you can receive help with a variety of issues, such as domestic, international, agency or private adoption options and costs, risk and time frames, along with additional information about adoption.
Adoption Benefit from Scottsdale Healthcare
In addition to adoption consultation services through Choice 4 Care, Scottsdale Healthcare will reimburse full-time and part-time staff members up to $3,000 per year for adoption expenses. To apply for this benefit complete the Adoption Assistance application and forward it to Employee Benefits.
Child Care Referral Services
A trained specialist will answer your questions and provide referrals to resources such as family child care providers, child care centers, certified family child care group homes, before/after school programs, summer programs, nanny agencies, and preschools.
In Home Care for Sick Children
Childcare services for sick children is available on a 24- hour basis and may be used if you would otherwise have to stay home to provide care. Scottsdale Healthcare assumes the majority of the cost for this care, You pay $12 per day. To register for this service, call the Choice 4 Care office.
Back-up Child Care
Backup child care is available when you have to go to work and the child care provider is on vacation or closed, or when your regular arrangements fall through. This benefit is partly subsidized by Scottsdale Healthcare. Your cost is only $12 per day. To register for this service, call the Choice 4 Care office.
Elder/ Adult Care Referral Services
A trained specialist will answer your questions and provide referrals to resources such as nursing homes, in-home care programs, retirement communities, legal/financial assistance, assisted living services and support groups.
Back-up Elder/Adult Care Referrals
Back-up elder care services help you care for your spouse, parent, parent-in-law or adult dependent child when you have to go to work and the regular care provider is vacationing, closed or otherwise unavailable. This benefit is partly subsidized by Scottsdale Healthcare. Your cost is only $12 per day.
Pet Care
This benefit provides staff members with valuable information and referrals to help you care for your pet, including evaluating kennels, choosing a veterinarian, what to look for in a groomer, hiring a pet sitter, etc.
Pet Insurance
Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) plans offer coverage for several types of pets. The plan pays a percentage of scheduled veterinary fees. You may elect this benefit at any time, and you pay the premiums through payroll deductions.
