A Resource Guide for Patients & Visitors

Scottsdale Healthcare is Tobacco-Free

Effective Jan. 1, 2012, tobacco use is prohibited on all Scottsdale Healthcare campuses, including hospitals, office buildings, grounds and parking areas.

Smoking and the use of tobacco products (including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, pipes and artificial smoking devices) are not permitted anywhere on Scottsdale Healthcare property.

The tobacco-free policy supports Scottsdale Healthcare’s nonprofit mission of providing the highest quality and most compassionate care for all individuals.

We appreciate your compliance with our tobacco-free policy. Please be considerate of our neighbors and refrain from tobacco use on their property or sidewalks. As a world-class healthcare organization, we want to be a good neighbor and promote a healthy environment for our patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.

Scottsdale Healthcare will offer education, coaching and support to help visitors, patients and staff avoid using tobacco on hospital property.

Patients will be provided, upon physician order, nicotine substitutes to help with nicotine withdrawal. Nicotine replacement products are also available within our gift shops for hospital visitors.
