Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn’s Trauma Center has the nation’s highest verification – Level I – for trauma centers granted by the American College of Surgeons. 

That means we provide the highest level of surgical care to our most critically injured and ill trauma patients using a full range of surgeons, support staff and specialized equipment available 24 hours a day. Surgical specialists include general surgery plus other specialties such as orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, plastic surgery, thoracic surgery, hand surgery, microvascular surgery, obstetric and gynecologic surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology and urology. 

We provide the continuum of care – from prevention to treatment to rehabilitation. Our Level I trauma center not only provides our local community with excellence in trauma care, but it also is a referral resource for communities throughout the Valley. 

Each trauma patient arriving at our Trauma Center receives immediate attention. Having a recognized Trauma Center ensures all available resources are at the trauma patient’s bedside at the time of arrival. Besides the key elements surgical specialists mentioned above, support services such as respiratory therapy, blood bank, laboratory services and diagnostic radiology are part of the trauma care team. This team works together to save lives every day. Each year they care for more than 3,200 “Trauma Activations,” the most severely injured patients. 

The Trauma Center features state-of-the-art equipment and related technology to resuscitate, stabilize and support the most critically injured patients throughout the continuum of care.
