Frank"Tres"Mitchell, III, MD, MHA, FACS
Dr Mitchell is the Medical Director of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center Dr. Frank “Tres” Mitchell has a long history in the trauma community and is highly visible at the national level. Dr. Mitchell graduated with a BA from the University of Missouri and earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He went on to complete his General Surgery Residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified in General Surgery and in Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Mitchell has been a member and officer of the National ATLS Committee and a Region Chief for the Committee on Trauma. He has served as an ACS Committee on Trauma Site Reviewer since 1999. He is a member of the Committee on Trauma Verification Review Committee, and most recently, he completed serving as its Chair. He is active in many professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, the American Association for Surgery of Trauma, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Western Trauma Association, and the Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics.
Charles Kung Chao Hu, MD, MBA, FACS, FCCP
Dr. Hu has been employed in the Trauma Program by Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center since July 2008. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in June 1998 where he also completed a general surgery residency from 1998 to 2003. Dr. Hu did a surgical critical care fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis 2003 - 2004. He is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and serves as the Associate Medical Director, Surgical/Trauma Critical Care. He received his MBA from The University of California, Irvine in 2010. Dr. Hu is active in many professional organizations to include ACS, EAST, AAST, and SCCM.
