Testing Options

Following consultation with a physician, patients are evaluated at the Sleep Disorders Center. Trained technicians monitor variables such as brain waves, breathing patterns, eye movement, blood oxygen levels and other parameters needed to study sleep. The tests are interpreted by a specialist who then routes the findings to the patient’s referring physician. 

Polysomnography – an overnight sleep recording – is the single most comprehensive diagnostic tool for sleep related complaints. When indicated, polysomnography can assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment of the following sleep disorders: 

  • Sleep Apnea 
  • Narcolepsy 
  • Restless Leg Syndrome 
  • Snoring 
  • Insomnia 
  • Other sleep related problems
