Orthopaedic Residency Program

Scottsdale Healthcare's Orthopaedic Residency Program is a full-time, 52 week program that begins every July. The orthopaedic residency program provides advanced training in orthopaedic physical therapy that is based on the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy: Description of Specialty Practice and The Guide to Physical Therapist Practice.
The resident participates in 18 classroom/lab sessions (72 hours), 33 independent study courses through the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA (165 hours) and >150 hours of 1:1 mentorship time with a fellow of the AAOMPT, in addition to >1200 hours of clinical practice time with a clinical faculty member on-site for any questions.
The resident's compensation is based on current pay scale at Scottsdale Healthcare for Resident Physical Therapist. The resident will receive all the benefits that he/she is eligible for as a full-time employee of Scottsdale Healthcare. There is no program fee to participate in the residency program.
