The Emergency Department at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea is a full service emergency department and Chest Pain Center. The facility provides initial definitive trauma care regardless of the severity of the injury. 

Scottsdale Healthcare Shea is the first hospital in Arizona verified as an Emergency Center of Excellence by Emergency Excellence, an organization specializing in emergency department quality benchmarking.

Pediatric Emergency Room

Scottsdale Healthcare Shea also features a 10-bed Pediatric Emergency Room in a separate area away from adult patients. Staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and pediatric-trained nurses, the Pediatric ER is focused exclusively on caring for children. 

The only dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room serving greater Scottsdale and Northeast Phoenix, it features a colorful aquatic them with privacy for patients and bedside video games and TVs for young patients.
