Scottsdale is a wonderful place to call home. I’m proud to say that at Scottsdale Healthcare there is a genuine caring spirit that comes from being a long time and vital part of our community. Our non-profit community based mission to provide the highest quality and most compassionate care for all individuals, reflects the very premise on which Scottsdale Healthcare was founded in 1962. That mission also embraces the vision of our city’s founding father, Winfield Scott, who championed Scottsdale as a place of health and healing. Scottsdale Healthcare is locally led with a volunteer board of directors who make decisions in the best interest of you and our patients, not stockholders focused on dividends. In fact our earnings are used to benefit this community. Whether it’s providing primary care to uninsured children, offering screenings and health education or investing in innovative technology and talented staff, we take pride in providing world class patient care to the residents of greater Scottsdale. Simply put, Scottsdale Healthcare is dedicated to serving the city we call home. We’ve grown with Scottsdale to become its largest employer and evolved to meet your changing health needs. Each year thousands of patients from throughout the valley are treated in our three hospitals, ambulatory centers and our Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center. Our clinical education programs train hundreds of new physicians and nurses and our research programs are nationally known. Over the years, with our talented medical staff, we’ve been here to welcome thousands of new lives into the world, set broken bones, perform life saving surgeries and provide special comfort and care to people of all ages.
