Corporate and Community Health recognizes the importance of enhancing employee health and promoting health in collaboration with community partners. The corporate component is to reduce our financial exposure to work-related injury claims. The community component of this is to ensure that strategies and programs are adapted to meet the needs to the community. As a partner in the Fit City Scottsdale project, we demonstrate our commitment to promote health and wellness of our community and therefore impact the quality of life, proving it is easy to be healthy in Scottsdale. Our Occupational Health Services include: Physical Assessments; Drug and Alcohol Testing; MRO Services; Injury Management; Physical Therapy; Occupational Therapy; Case Management; Worker’s compensation Administration; comprehensive Safety Programs; Consulting Services; Ergonomic/Job Site analysis; Medical Surveillance; Travel medicine; and a Health and Wellness Program.

Alan B. Kelly joined Scottsdale Healthcare (SHC) in 2004, as General Counsel, Vice President in 2005 and became a Senior Vice President & General Counsel in 2007. His responsibilities encompass Legal, Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, Governmental Relations, Community Stewardship and Scottsdale Captive Insurance Company. He previously served for 14 years as Corporate Counsel for Virtua Health Systems in New Jersey and came to SHC from Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA) where he was University Counsel for 9 years. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Economics from the University of South Carolina, Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Juris Doctor Degree from St. Louis University and finally, a Masters of Law in Trial Advocacy from Temple University. Mr. Kelly specializes in all areas of healthcare law including transactions, real estate, acquisitions, bond financing. Some of his professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Bar Associate and National Health Lawyers Association. Mr. Kelly is a member of the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia Bars and to all Federal Courts within those jurisdictions.

Emily Bishop joined Scottsdale Healthcare in 2002 as Business Operations Manager of Corporate and Community Health. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Business with an emphasis on Management and Leadership from Arizona State University. Emily is responsible for the business operations of six site locations throughout Scottsdale including the financial health of the department.

Chris joined Scottsdale Healthcare in 2010 as a Community Health Nurse Educator. In 2012, she assumed the role of Supervisor of Community Health Services. She has been involved in tobacco prevention and cessation programs, community health screening and teen child birth education programming. She provides oversight for all community health education program development, implementation and evaluation while working collaboratively with community partners to address identified public health needs. Chris is a member of American Public Health Association, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and American Nurses Association among other organizations.

Barbara Previously worked at Scottsdale Healthcare for 12 years as a staff nurse. She returned in 2003 to work in Corporate Health as a worker’s Compensation Case Manager. Recently, she transitioned with the department to Clinical Case Manager for Corporate and Community Health. Barbara received her Master’s of Nursing Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

Barbara Graduated from Hackley Hospital School of Nursing in Michigan. She received her Certification in Occupational Health (COHN) in 2000. She is a member of AAOHN as well as the local chapter, Valle Dels Sol where she has been past treasurer. She has been with Scottsdale Health for 26 years.

Evonda Copeland joined Scottsdale Healthcare in 2000 as a medical librarian. In 2005, she served as Technical Services Librarian until 2008, when she became Supervisor of Library Services. Evonda earned her Master’s Degree in Library & Information Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Evonda is responsible for the Health Sciences Libraries and Health Information Centers throughout Scottsdale Healthcare, and she supervises the activities of Scottsdale Healthcare’s Speakers Bureau.
