Alan B. Kelly, Esq.
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Alan B. Kelly joined Scottsdale Healthcare in 2004, as General Counsel and became a Vice President in 2005. His responsibilities encompass Legal, Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, Governmental Relations and Scottsdale Captive Insurance Company. He previously served for 14 years as Corporate Counsel for Virtua Health Systems in New Jersey and came to Scottsdale Healthcare from Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA) where he was University Counsel for 9 years. He holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Economics from the University of South Carolina, Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Juris Doctor Degree from St. Louis University and finally, a Masters of Law in Trial Advocacy from Temple University. Mr. Kelly specializes in all areas of healthcare law including transactions, real estate, acquisitions, bond financing. Some of his professional affiliations include the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Bar Associate and National Health Lawyers Association. 

Jan Elezian MSL
Corporate Compliance Director
Jan Elezian joined the Compliance Team in October 2005 and has been with Scottsdale Healthcare since 1997, acting as HIM Coding Compliance Manager for 8 years. She ‘moved’ to the Compliance Department to increase her focus on coding and billing compliance for the system. She is credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and received her Certification in Healthcare Compliance in 2007. Jan holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University in Psychology/Sociology and a Masters of Science degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Some of her professional affiliations are the American Healthcare Information Association and the Health Care Compliance Association.

Lynn Barrett MSNL
Research Integrity Officer
Lynn Barrett joined the Compliance Department in 2007 as Scottsdale Healthcare's Privacy Administrator/Research Integrity Officer. She has been with Scottsdale Healthcare since 2000 and previously worked as an RN Supervisor. Lynn holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and is near completion of a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership in Health Care Systems from Grand Canyon University. She received her Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) in 2008. Some of her professional affiliations include the Society of Clinical Research Associates, American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, American Health Information Management Association and Health Care Compliance Association.

Jill Hirneisen, Esq.
HIPAA Privacy Officer
Jill Hirneisen Esq. joined the Corporate Compliance Team with extensive litigation experience most recently with the United States Attorney’s Office and critical care experience as a Registered Nurse. Jill will be acting in the position of HIPAA Administrator providing a legal/medical expertise to this complex area of regulation.
